Nathan Causey

Nathan is not your typical engineer. While he certainly has the overly analytical and exacting tendencies, his passion is building relationships while building products. He graduated from Georgia Tech, receiving a mechanical engineering degree in just 4 years and ready to get to work. Straight out of school, he found himself in one of the largest US consumer product corporations working as a “helluva engineer” and becoming a team leader comfortable running projects while building strong and lasting cross-functional relationships. He is a creative problem solver and critical thinker with a passion for making things, carrying them from a passing idea to mass production and beyond. And he gets an absurd amount of joy out of organizing files. When he’s not building or organizing something, he enjoys being with his wife and four kids, mountain biking, fishing, and trying to grow vegetables.

David may make a rare case for being equally right and left brained. Having attended Georgia Tech initially for mechanical engineering, he ultimately received dual-degrees in engineering and industrial design while throwing in a marketing certificate to keep things interesting. He values the opportunity to strengthen brands through good design and engineering. Throughout his career, he has sought to maintain positions that offer an ability to utilize both skillsets such as studio engineering and advanced concepts roles. He has experience working as an industrial designer in a firm and also as a product development engineer in a small company, in which many hats were required. David is a driven team player whose hobbies include competing in triathlon, woodworking, and charting new adventures with his family of five.
